Thank you for your interest in speaking at the 1st ever Sales Made Simple Summit for Authors & Artists. I’m so excited to team up with you to pull off an incredible event!

The summit is a 3-day virtual event that will help authors and artists get visible, grow their audience, and sell more of their work online (using content marketing like social media, email marketing, and podcasting).

On this page, you’ll find resources meant to make speaking as easy as possible and answer any questions you have. If you run into a question I didn’t answer, please reply to my email and let me know! I’m happy to help.

How the Event Will Work

The Sales Made Simple Summit will run from April 20-22, 2026. Pre-recorded presentations will include just 15-20 minutes of actionable content (with up to a 1-minute freebie pitch). You are asked to be on camera during your pre-recorded presentation with simple slides.


While the presentations themselves are pre-recorded, all speakers are asked to attend their presentation time live to interact with attendees in the chatbox. There is no video component.


Leading up to the summit, we’ll have two weeks of promotion. You’ll be provided with email swipe copy, social media swipe copy, and social media graphics to make it all easy! I'll even have a suggested posting/sending schedule for you to make promo easy to outsource to a VA.


During the promotion phase, as the summit is running, and for a week after the summit is complete, we’ll also be promoting the VIP Sales Toolkit. This includes an all-access pass for the replays, and (optional) bonuses that our speakers provide. This will provide immense value to our attendees, while making the work of promoting and creating a presentation worthwhile by allowing you to bring in affiliate commissions and grow your email list. Yay!

What I’ll Ask of You

So this all sounds great, but what kind of work does it require of you? Let’s chat about it! 

1. BASIC INFORMATION

The first thing I’ll need is some basic information from you so I can finish up our registration page and Speakers page.

Once you give me the thumbs up that you’re in, I’ll send you a link where you can upload all this information easily.

2. PRESENTATION

Next up is your presentation! This is a 15-20 minute pre-recorded presentation that is meant to be more friendly and casual than perfect and structured. We want our attendees to learn something great, while having fun in the process.

Please structure your content in a way that allows attendees to walk away feeling like they've really learned something, rather than a webinar format where they feel like they're missing something that they need to buy from you asap.

With that being said, you have your choice of the following presentation formats:

  • Slides & on- or off-camera (On camera is great if you can! You can use a tool like Loom, Zoom, or Canva for recording this!)

  • Interview-style

If you’d like to go with the interview-style presentation, please let me know and we can schedule a time.

No matter what format you choose, you are free to use your presentation however you’d like in the future.

Your presentation should include great, actionable content. Here’s the suggested format:

  • A quick introduction (<1 minute)

  • An overview of your topic

  • Where people go wrong with your topic and tend to overcomplicate it

  • Teaching section

  • Specific action steps (with the goal of simplifying their existing process)

  • Up to a 30-second freebie pitch; please no direct selling in the presentation

Presentations are due by March 31, 2026. Your presentation should have slides (they can be simple - just to give our visual learners something to look at!) and you can choose to be on or off video. 

Email your finished presentation by March 31 to support@shelbyleigh.co via a tool like Google Drive, DropBox, or WeTransfer.

3. VIP Sales Toolkit CONTRIBUTION

The VIP Sales Toolkit will be a huge addition to the presentations we’re running. To make it even more valuable and to give you an additional way to grow your email list, I’ll ask each of you to provide one resource to add. This includes things like:

  • Templates

  • Workbooks

  • Courses (big or small)

  • 1-month memberships

  • eBooks

Note: I expect this to convert well so I do not recommend contributing any 1:1 offers.

It’s totally up to you to decide whether you’d like to create something new or provide something you already have. While this isn’t required, it’s highly encouraged that you participate.

Anyone who does contribute a premium resource will get a 60% affiliate commission on sales, rather than 40%. It’s also an opportunity to collect hundreds of extra email addresses as attendees claim your offer.

We cannot accept freebies or percentage-off offers.

Information for these resources is due on March 24, 2026.

Attendees will be able to start claiming your bonus right when registration opens on April 6, 2026.

4. PROMOTION

The power of an online summit comes from a group of experts coming together for a single cause. The joint promotion that happens because of that is a huge benefit to everyone involved.

Because of that, everyone is encouraged to share on social media and to email their lists during the promotion period, starting on April 6.

You’ll want to share using your affiliate link so you can get in on the 40% commission that will come from any VIP Sales Toolkit sales (60% if you've contributed a premium bonus).

5. EVENT PARTICIPATION 

And last comes participation during the week of the event. Since we’ll already have done the work of creating the presentations and extra resources, we’ll be able to sit back and relax for the most part!

All I ask is that you show up to the live chat during your pre-recorded presentation to interact with others. This not only provides value to them but also gives you the opportunity to show off your expertise to our most engaged attendees!

Affiliate Details

While summits are great for overall visibility and making new connections, a little extra income never hurts either, right?

That’s exactly why I’ve set up an affiliate program for the VIP Sales Toolkit where you’ll receive a commission from all sales from traffic you refer to the event. Payouts will be made by mid-May, 2026.

The commission structure is as follows:

  • 40% for all speakers

  • 60% for all speakers who include a premium bonus 

The pricing structure will be:

  • $37 for 20 minutes after initial registration

  • $47 from April 6-19, 2026

  • $57 from April 20-22, 2026

Additional affiliate income opportunity:

  • Following the summit, I’ll be opening doors to my popular marketing membership, The Creative’s Content Club. Anyone who enrolls in the Club, who used your affiliate link to join the Summit, will earn 40% recurring commission on this $37/month offer, offering you an additional opportunity to earn recurring revenue from this Summit!

To make it as easy as possible for you to generate extra income, the Resource Vault includes things like email swipe copy, social media copy, and social share graphics. However, you’re more than welcome to write your own copy.

As with all affiliate promotions, be sure to disclose that you’re an affiliate when sharing with your audience.
